Robbers steal medication in Telford attack

Tuesday 15th November 2011, 10:59AM GMT.

A 57-year-old diabetic man was robbed of vital medication when he was set upon by a group of men in Telford.

He was kicked repeatedly to the body and head and while on the ground was robbed of £500 in cash from his pocket.

The attack happened between 7.30pm and 8.10pm on Monday as the man headed home from Hadley District Social Club along Church Street near the Methodist church.

The victim moved on to a verge to pass the men but was pushed to the ground from behind, police said. Anyone with information about the robbery should contact police on 101.
