Saturday 12th November 2011, 9:16AM GMT.
Thieves ripped a lamp and horn off a car belonging to the county’s fire service while firefighters were battling a blaze in Oswestry.
Crews and an officer in a Fiat Bravo were called to an empty home in Maple Avenue on Sunday after neighbours spotted smoke billowing from it.
The car was parked only a short distance from the house but when the officer returned he discovered that the light and horn had been ripped off the roof by vandals.
