Madness frontman Suggs, legendary comedian Ken Dodd and Phoenix Nights star Dave Spikey are among some of the performers who will be playing in Shrewsbury next year, it has been announced.
The three stars have been included in Theatre Severn’s spring programme, which also has room for acerbic comedian Stewart Lee and BBC3 favourite Lee Nelson. Suggs will be appearing at the town venue on February 19.
Suggs’s show will look at his music over his 30-year career, which has involved chart hits, as well as radio, television and film appearances.
Also arriving in Shrewsbury in early 2012 will be Ken Dodd, who will bring his famous ‘Happiness Show’ to the Theatre Severn on April 13.
As part of the season’s comedy line-up, Lee Nelson will perform on March 24 and Dave Spikey on April 14.
Meanwhile Stewart Lee will be bringing his new show ‘Carpet Remnant World’ to Theatre Severn on April 26.
The theatre also has a number of stage performances lined up for the coming months.
