Tributes paid to councillor Ruth Leach

A member of Whitchurch Town Council with four years’ service has died.
Tributes were paid to Councillor Ruth Leach at last night’s town council meeting.
Mayor Peggy Mullock fought back the tears as she led the tributes before members observed one-minute’s silence.
Councillor Mullock said: “It is with great regret that we learned today of the death of our colleague Ruth Leach.
“During her time in Whitchurch, Ruth has served on many committees.”
