A new shop has arrived in the Shropshire village of Tibberton – on the back of a lorry.
People in the village, near Newport, had been without a village store since last November.
But after locals raised the £4,500 needed by selling shares in the business, the Tibberton Community Shop arrived yesterday at 8.30am.
The timber-clad structure, which was built by 4M Portable Buildings of Wem, has been placed next to the village hall.
Shop spokeswoman Geraldine Stokes-Harrison said a vital part of the local community had been restored.
