The phone has ‘not stopped’ at a Shropshire dog rescue centre following an appeal to a find a home for a blind Great Dane and her guide dog, bosses said today.
Staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury, based at Roden, said the public response to the story of six-year-old Lily, who lost her eyes to an incurable condition at just 18 months old, and Maddison, also a Great Dane, had been the biggest ever.
Manager Louise Campbell said they were confident they would now be able to find the perfect home for the pair following calls from across the country.

These are 2 of the most gentle and good natured dogs you can ever meet (used to be walked over Patsull Park playing field). Hope someone takes them in and gives them the love they deserve.

We went to the Dogs Trust on Sunday to take some treats[ about 60 chicken drum sticks left over from the previous nights 40Th birthday party ] and was told that they are going to a good home with plenty of space to run around. Great news,
