Oswestry house part of police drug raids

Police raided an Oswestry house in a series of dawn drug raids across the UK.

Officers swooped on the property in Belle Vue, Morda, yesterday morning and properties across Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester were also raided.

Thousands of pounds worth of class A drugs were seized in the raids codenamed Operation Barometer.

A 47-year-old Oswestry man was charged last night with conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He was due to appear before Chester Magistrates Court today.
