Bridgnorth parking meters to be covered up
Wednesday 19th October 2011, 3:13PM BST.
Bridgnorth Town Council has agreed to cover up controversial parking meters on the town’s Severn Park after becoming ‘embarrassed’ by the number of complaints it has received.
Locum town clerk Anne Wilson said Creative Parking Solutions, the company hired to enforce parking tickets, had not lived up to expectations and had been ‘very unhelpful’ when contacted by the council.
“My recommendation is we close the system while we resolve all these issues because it is doing the council no good whatsoever. I have e-mailed about their inconsistencies but they have never followed through.
Councillor Paul Tacchi said members of the council’s working party had received several e-mails over the matter.
