Shropshire woman jailed for £80,000 swindle

A 54-year-old woman was today jailed for 16 months for swindling her employer out of more than £80,000.

Julia Brereton, of Clunton, near Craven Arms, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court where she admitted three counts of fraud, four of false accounting and one of theft.

The offences took place during her time working for Shropshire-based company Sastak, including a period as chief executive.
