Mum-to-be robbed at knifepoint in her Telford home
Tuesday 18th October 2011, 11:28AM BST.
Chris Ammonds, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “Initially the victim could not get the bangles off her wrists but the man went into the kitchen, grabbed some washing up liquid and used that to ease the bangles off the victim’s wrists.
“When the man had possession of the bangles, which are thought to be worth more than £2,000, he spoke briefly to the victim before sprinting out of the property and away down a nearby alleyway.
“Although shaken by this incident the victim, who is six months pregnant, has been able to describe the man .
“He was 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build and wore a long sleeved, light coloured hooded top, dark grey trousers and a pair of gloves. The victim also believes the man was Asian.”
Mr Ammonds said the incident happened at about 7.15pm on Friday.
