Wet weather on way to end Shropshire dry spell
Monday 17th October 2011, 11:40AM BST.
Britain is bracing itself for a change in the weather as unseasonably warm weather gives way to a blast of cold air.
The colder and wetter weather should herald an end to the prolonged dry spell in Shropshire, which has seen water levels plummet in Ellesmere and along the River Severn.
Environment Agency data shows the river to be 0.67 metres deep at Welsh Bridge in Shrewsbury, when the typical river level range there is up to 2.7 metres.
It comes as forecasters predict sub-zero temperatures for parts of the country later this week.

Is this one of John Warner’s forecasts? If so, I’ll be out and about in my leotard this week.
