Unemployment at 17-year high

UNEMPLOYMENT TODAY leapt to a 17-year high – driven by record-breaking numbers of youngsters who cannot find jobs.

Grim new figures showed 991,000 youngsters are now out of work – at least one in five – while the number claiming jobseeker’s allowance increased for the seventh month in a row to 1.6 million. Overall unemployment rose by 114,000 to 2.57 million.

In Shropshire Council’s area, numbers claiming jobseeker’s’ allowance rose for the sixth consecutive month, from 4,871 to 4,927.

In Telford and Wrekin, the total fell slightly, from 4,518 claimants to 4,493.

Shocking figures for the country and the Borough its self, I am one of the many on JSA and struggling to find full time contracted employment, but there is an answer?

Quite simply send all the economic migrants home(Not a racist statement but one of simple economics) outlaw THE EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES who are creaming the operational profits by the hour, get the unemployed back into work, use the JSA as a sweetner to the companies to offer comprehensive training and anyone failing to accept work gets their MONEY STOPPED

Those that come to this country from Europe can work here legally – just as you could work abroad in Europe legally.

Illegal immigrants from elsewhere are not allowed to work – the work that they sometimes illegally find is usually paid at below minimum wage by those who make money by exploiting them.

The problem is that we have no growth in this country, and government policies which are aimed at protecting the wealthiest, the very people who caused our current economic problems in the first place, rather than creating jobs. Once again, just as it was in the ’80s. unemployment is seen to be a price worth paying to protect the rich.

Forget about blaming immigrants – the statistics simply don’t support your arguments – and of course, those who are the real architects of our current misery like nothing more than to see one group of disadvantaged people attacking another – after all – it takes the focus away from those really to blame doesn’t it?
