Shrewsbury father, 32, collapses and dies in street
Wednesday 12th October 2011, 6:00PM BST.
A father-of-seven from Shrewsbury has collapsed and died in the street at the age of just 32.
Shaun Goss, of Wingfield Close, Ditherington, was walking down Whitchurch Road with his parents, partner Emma and two of his children when he suddenly fell ill. The cause of death has been recorded as sudden adult death syndrome.
His sister Tracy Graham said she could not believe her brother was gone.
“He actually died on Whitchurch Road on the path. He was just coming down the road with mum and dad. He lit a cigarette up and suddenly died,” she said.
His sister said the family had received many cards of condolences and were expecting a large turnout at Mr Goss’s funeral on Tuesday at Our Lady of Pity Church, in Meadow Farm Drive.
