Shropshire’s Muller Dairy hosted the world’s most famous talking car at the launch of its new marketing campaign.
Workers at the Market Drayton site avoided the tear gas dispenser, flame thrower and electrified coil to get a close look at Knight Rider car Kitt, when it visited on Friday to mark the launch of the firm’s biggest ever advertising campaign.
The replica of the classic 1982 Pontiac Trans Am, famous across the world as the Knight Industries Two Thousand car from the 1980s series starring David Hasselhoff, is one of a host of characters featured in the ‘Wunderful Stuff’ advert.
Launched simultaneously across 50 channels over the weekend, the £20 million campaign sees characters including Kitt, the Mr Men – who also appeared for staff at the dairy – Yogi Bear and Muttley spreading colour across a grey cityscape.
Hannah Hoare, brand manager at Muller, said: “Last week was a very exciting week for us at Muller Dairy with the unveiling of Wunderful Stuff. Having the characters here, actually on site, has really added to the buzz and the feeling that this is something very special for Muller.”
