Where were John Tandy and Daniel Kawczynski last night?. I think we should be told.

The irony of this of course is that taxpayer money is being spent even more cleaning this up, I hope it wasn’t a protest about the money spent on it haha

Probably thanks to the councillor who was trying to make waves in the media regarding this sculpture.
What about the money spent on the Darwin themed traffic island at Frankwell.
All the tree ferns have gone and it looks a scrubby mess today with a feeble bird topiary sticking out.
The budget for the Towns in Bloom competitions used to be phenomenal.
There are so many other area of waste that can be attributed to SABC councillors it just seems a shame most of them are still with us on Shropshire Council to carry it on.

I think I might just report Shropshire Council to the Environment Agency for what looks like in the picture, polluting the River Severn!
Mindless clowns. Just how does this help anyone?
I hope that the paint used is not toxic, as they seem to be making no effort in stopping it run into the river!!!!
Well I like this sculpture.

Me too!! I think it’s great :)

It is so sad that Colin D’s views are taxpayers money.
What a place we live in. Is moaning just ingrained in Shropshire culture? Taxpayers money don’t you think? We have no discernable major problems but we’re sticking it to our public art. Both barrels. How lucky we are.
Does anybody ever stop, taxpayers money, and listen to themselves?
Taxpayers Money.

[Mindless clowns]
I think you mean clown if you are referring to the councillor making mischief Tyrone Shoelaces!
I gather that the council having already wasted £125,000 in legal fees trying to sue the builders are now wasting even more of OUR MONEY going to appeal.
If you are going to put an extremely heavy sculpture that close to a river then you will have problems of unstable ground.
The same happened with the theatre so our 1200 seats we should have had were reduced by half and loads of money went on supporting and underpinning the building instead.
No, that is not what I mean. I am referring to the clown(s) that threw the paint.
I have no problem with the sculpture or the process to get it approved and installed. If you had something to say about it, the time to voice your opinion was before it was commissioned not now.
My problem is with mindless vandalism and general antisocial behavior.
If they want to wreck something, go home and stick a foot through their own tv, or throw paint around in their bedroom, see where that gets them.

This sort of behaviour wouldn’t have happened in Telford

Depends, do you think it’s flammable?

great more cost for this thing
the muppets who vandalised it are even worse that the councillors who wasted all that money in the first place
Report abuse
Who says they are vandels???
Surely they are artists simply adding more art to the structure
Perhaps others should be encouraged to add their own bit of art on the art and make it more of a community ‘thing’
Report abuse
So if you owned a Henry Moore or a Barbara Hepworth you would embellish it?
Or you bought an expensive carpet you would chuck a bottle of red wine over it?
Muppet!
absolutely darlings nail on the head its all just art .Provoking isn’t it……
Report abuse
agree with their sentiment but this is daft
be angry at the waste of taxpayers money dont cost us all even more in cleaning bills
Report abuse
Again!!!
Love it.
