Letter: Inane questions on Shropshire housing

Letter: As a member of the Shropshire People’s Panel I received from the customer insight team at Abbey Foregate a questionnaire concerning the council’s joint housing strategy.

The sheer inanity of this document is best illustrated by this: To what extent do you agree or disagree that providing adequate and appropriate housing should be a key priority within the housing strategy?

And: To what extent do you agree or disagree that ensuring existing stock is of a high standard and is used effectively should be a key priority within the housing strategy?

There were five pages of this sort of rubbish.

Since consultation of this puerile nature can do nothing to improve public services, I an only conclude that the point of the exercise was to provide employment to staff who clearly have far too much time on their hands.

I take it this “Shropshire People’s Panel” is a self-appointed “committee” of busy-bodies?

What ridiculous questions. The answers are self evident. It would be sensible to use someone who who knows how to construct a questionnaire.

Such ridiculous Qs. They need to use someone who can draft a questionnaire which will elicit useful answers.
