Moped teenager airlifted to hospital after crash near Shrewsbury

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he came off his moped following a collision with a car.
The youth, believed to be 16, was on a minor road at Wilderley, near Church Pulverbatch, south of Shrewsbury when the crash happened at about 3.35pm yesterday.
The ambulance service said the teenager had suffered fractures to his right leg, ankle and pelvis.
