Parents plan protest to save village school
Friday 30th September 2011, 3:34PM BST.
Primary school children are to picket outside council offices in a bid to save their village school. The fate of Llanfechain and Llangedwyn schools hang in the balance.
Councillors at a Powys County Council cabinet meeting on Tuesday will make the decision.
Children from Llanfechain will protest outside the council’s Llandrindod Wells headquarters before the meeting starts.
The protest has been planned amid claims the small schools review has been “flawed and unfair”.
