Up to 200 jobs could be created in Welshpool over the next few years as part of multi-million pound proposals to develop two sites in the town.
Plans to build three retail outlets and a cafe on part of the Church Street car park and for brewer Marston’s to build on the Old Smithfield site are expected to generate the jobs boom.
Marston’s hopes to build a 180-seat restaurant which will create 50 full and part-time jobs once it is opened next year. Builders J Ross Developments said a further 50 jobs would be created during the construction.
