Man slashed with knife in Whitchurch fight

A 26-year-old man was slashed with a knife during a fight in front of children in a Whitchurch shopping arcade.
The incident happened at around 4pm yesterday outside Fiona’s Coffee Shop in the Watergate Arcade.
Police said there was an argument between two women who were accompanied by several young children.
Two men who were with the women became involved and a fight broke out.
Police said the injured man was struck with a bladed instrument, thought to be a knife. He received wounds to his head and hand but refused hospital treatment. The other man ran off towards Watergate Street.
Officers are seeking witnesses on 0300 333 3000.
