Facebook friends’ tributes to soldier Dean Griffiths
Monday 26th September 2011, 10:47AM BST.
Tributes have been paid on a special Facebook site to a 21-year-old Shropshire soldier who died in a shooting incident on exercises at a military firing range.
Fusilier Dean Griffiths, from Market Drayton, died on September 14 at Lydd Ranges on Romney Marsh in Kent.
The former Grove School pupil was about to become a father, his devastated family said following news of his death.
Now about 100 people have left tributes on a Facebook page set up to honour the young soldier.
Almost 2,000 people have ‘liked’ the page – R.I.P Fusilier Dean Griffiths.
Friends, family and wellwishers have inundated the page with messages.
On the page Carole Jones wrote: “RIP dean love to Nikala and baby you will live on with them xxx.”
