Hospice Moonlit Mile axed

A major fundraising event expected to bring in thousands of pounds for a Shropshire hospice has today been cancelled, after just 23 people signed up.
Bosses at the Severn Hospice have reluctantly axed the inaugural Moonlit Mile, which they had hoped would bring dozens of people on to the streets of Ludlow for a one-mile night-time walk on October 1.
Leah Roberts, marketing and PR officer at the hospice, said the cancellation of the Ludlow event was disappointing for everyone involved and came after months of planning.
