Action to remove Shrewsbury from Wem address

Councillors in Wem calling for Shrewsbury to be removed from the town’s addresses to avoid unnecessary confusion are preparing to hold fresh talks on the issue.
Civic leaders in the town say because the town shares a postal code with Shrewsbury, it has been causing problems with ordering items online and post turning up at wrong addresses.
They will hold talks on the issue at a meeting of Wem Town Council on September 29 at Edinburgh House at 7.15pm.
