New jobs as Telford House of Fraser ready to open
Wednesday 21st September 2011, 11:29AM BST.
A major expansion of Telford’s flagship House of Fraser store has been completed, creating more than 50 jobs.
The 3,500 sq ft expansion will officially open on Saturday after three months work and store chiefs say vacant positions must be filled by the end of September.
General manager Manda Sharp said the six-figure investment had reclaimed ‘back of house’ space previously used for storage.
She said: “This is the most major refurbishment we have undertaken since the store opened seven years ago. As part of the development we’ve modernised the store’s interior and introduced some fantastic new designer brands and high street names.
“This investment shows our continued faith and commitment to not only the store, but to the shopping centre and the town itself. The store will be complete on September 24, with the exciting addition of Tommy Hilfiger due next month”.
The investment has also seen the arrival of fashion brands French Connection, Phase Eight, Great Plains and Miss Selfridge.
