Shrewsbury man jailed for firearms offences

A 34-year-old Shrewsbury man was this afternoon jailed for six years after admitting a string of firearms offences.

Philip Jones, of Mount Street, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court facing six firearms offences including possessing a pistol, a sub-machine gun, two rounds of ammunition and an improvised explosive device.
