Prayers for Market Drayton soldier Dean Griffiths

Prayers have been said for a 21-year-old Shropshire soldier who died in an incident during a training exercise at a military firing range.
Fusilier Dean Griffiths, from Market Drayton, died on Wednesday at Lydd Ranges, on Romney Marsh, Kent.
Reverend Martin Tanner, from St Mary’s Church, confirmed prayers were said at St Mary’s Church during services yesterday.
The former Grove School pupil, who served with the Chester-based 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh, was also remembered at Christ Church, Little Drayton.
Fusilier Griffiths was described by his family as caring and fun loving.
Kent Police, the MoD and health and safety officials are investigating the death.
North Shropshire MP Owen Paterson and Councillor Kath Brown, Mayor of Market Drayton, have both expressed their condolences to the soldier’s family.
