One hurt in Ellesmere house fire

One person was treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Ellesmere.

Fire crews from Ellesmere and Oswestry were called to the scene on Oak Drive at about 11pm yesterday.

The blaze involved a first-floor bedroom. Firefighters used breathing apparatus while tackling the fire.

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance treated an occupant of the property for the effects of smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought under control at just after 11.15pm.
