No arrests at Shrewsbury v Hereford game

Shrewsbury Town’s derby game against Hereford United passed off peacefully, with no arrests made in connection with the match, police said today.

An increased police presence was in the town on Saturday following trouble at last season’s fixture.

Police today said there were no problems after the game was brought forward to a 1pm kick-off and no tickets were sold to away fans on match day. More than 100 officers were on duty.
