Poorly Adele cancels Midlands shows
Saturday 10th September 2011, 11:29AM BST.
Singing sensation Adele apologised to fans today after cancelling two concerts in the Midlands this weekend due to illness.
Bosses at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall were scrambling to get the message to fans to prevent people travelling for the gigs, tonight and tomorrow.
A statement on the record-breaking star’s website said: “Due to a serious cold and chest infection, Adele has had to postpone her shows. Doctors have insisted she recovers fully. The shows will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and all tickets will remain valid. Sincerest apologises.”
The 23-year-old pleaded with fans to forgive her, saying: “There’s no use battling through this bug because it will only make me weaker.”
