Sainsbury’s urges council to back Whitchurch plans
Thursday 8th September 2011, 11:27AM BST.
Sainsbury’s bosses today urged councillors to back their plans for a store creating 250 jobs in Whitchurch.
The proposal for land off London Road will be determined by Shropshire Council on Tuesday in Edinburgh House, Wem, from 2pm.
The scheme, in conjunction with Terrace Hill Group Plc, has been recommended for approval.
Michael Adenmosun, of Sainsbury’s, said the scheme was ‘a chance for committee members to back local people’.
Therese Hickland, chair of Whitchurch Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said she was delighted the application has been recommended for approval.
