Daniel Kawczynski MP criticises free meals for Commons’ staff
Wednesday 7th September 2011, 1:40PM BST.
Daniel Kawczynski
Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski this afternoon branded free meals for Commons’ catering staff a ‘staggering’ waste of taxpayers’ money and demanded they be forced to pay.
Mr Kawczynski said the £224,000 cost of subsidised food would be better spent on schools and hospitals.

I agree with him but the greedy pigs will not get their snouts out of the trough now they have lost all their expenses fiddles.

Read the article. He is not talking about the MPs – he is talking about the employees who prepare and serve the food.
I would imagine that the ‘free meals’ are actually a part of their salary package and are therefore taxed as a benefit-in-kind.

And would he agree that an MP’s salary should mean they don’t claim offensive amounts of expensenses.
He is a true example of “the pot calling the kettle black”, having claimed £125,597.82 for year ending 31/03/2011.
A cheap attack on the staff who feed those with their noses in the public trough!

Must be a very easy life if this is all he has got to worry about in his job. Can I have it? would not like to have him as a work colleague.

I suppose he has to complain about something to justify his being called an MP.

If I were him I wouldn’t eat there any more.
