Paul Burrell booked for county charity date
Saturday 3rd September 2011, 11:29AM BST.
Paul Burrell, one-time footman to The Queen and later butler to Diana, Princess of Wales, will be the guest speaker at a Shropshire charity’s ladies’ day in the spring, officials said today.
Relationship organisation Relate has built up a reputation for organising events of specific interest to women, with prominent speakers.
The spring event will take place at the Albright Hussey Hotel, near Shrewsbury, on April 18 next year.
Mr Burrell will talk about his years working for the Royal Family. He was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal in November 1997.
Lin Foley, chief executive of Relate in Shropshire, said: “We are looking forward to celebrating The Queen’s jubilee year with a visit from Mr Burrell – the latest of a line of prominent speakers at our fundraising ladies events.”
Bookings for the spring event can be made through the Relate county headquarters at Cross Hill, Shrewsbury, by calling (01743) 344010.
