Section of A5 to close overnight for resurfacing

Motorists have been warned that a section of the A5 is to close overnight from today until mid-September to allow resurfacing to take place.
The eastbound carriageway of the A5 between Preston Island in Shrewsbury and the M54 junction 7 at Wellington – including the junction 7 entry slip road – will be closed between 8pm and 6am from today until September 11, excluding weekends.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said the closure would allow carriageway resurfacing and associated work to take place.
