Woman fights for life after Telford car fire
Friday 26th August 2011, 3:50PM BST.
Officers received an emergency call saying a woman was threatening to set herself on fire before racing to the car parked at The Woolpack pub in Acorn Way, Shawbirch, just after 10am today.
Paramedics transferred the woman to the Princess Royal Hospital in the town for treatment to what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

West Mercia Police spokesman Chris Ammonds said: “Two of our officers pulled a female out of the vehicle and she has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.”
He added: “The officers also had to go to hospital to receive treatment for smoke inhalation.”
