Teenagers arrested after stolen car crashes

Three teenagers smashed a stolen car into two lampposts in Telford causing delays for drivers after a main road was closed for more than 90 minutes.

The youths, aged 15, 16 and 17, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking after the car they were travelling in crashed on the A442 at Stirchley Interchange at about 6.45pm yesterday.

All three youths escaped without injury. The road was closed by emergency services until the power supply to the damaged lampposts could be made safe.
