£600m Telford plan’s next phase

The next phase of the £600 million Ironstone housing project in Telford could begin this month, it was revealed this afternoon.

Proposals to build 434 homes at the Lawley development will go before Telford & Wrekin Council’s plans board next Wednesday.

Project director Guy Scott said work on the £30 million Lawley Square retail hub, which could create up to 400 jobs, would also begin within the next few months.

The council’s planning officers are recommending the latest proposals are approved.
