Riots: Powys boy arrested over Facebook messages

A 15-year-old boy from Powys has been arrested after messages were posted on Facebook allegedly inciting others to commit acts of violent disorder during the riots in England.

Dyfed-Powys Police said today the teenager, from Newtown, had been arrested as part of an operation to prevent violence. He has since been released on bail.

Officers said they would continue to monitor social networking sites closely.
