Fight is on to save community centre
Saturday 6th August 2011, 11:30AM BST.
Campaigners are calling for support to help fight for the future of a community centre up for sale on the edge of Market Drayton.
People living in and around the town met on Thursday to see how Little Drayton Community Centre could be brought back into community use.
A committee was formed with more than 16 people to try to buy the building, which is priced at about £180,000.
Residents became interested in the hall after a discussion was launched on Facebook this week.
On Tuesday a Facebook page was set up called Little Drayton Community Centre project and members met in Market Drayton’s pub The Crown on Thursday night.
