Guests flee blaze at hotel
Friday 5th August 2011, 11:26AM BST.
Two guests had a lucky escape when fire ripped through a building alongside a Shropshire hotel.
The couple had gone for breakfast at the Penydyffryn hotel, near Oswestry, when the blaze broke out at 8.45am yesterday.
No one was hurt in the fire which affected two of the four annexe rooms at the plush country house hotel.
Two fire crews from Oswestry were joined by others from Ellesmere and Chirk to fight the blaze in the converted building. Flames could be seen rising through the slate roof of the single storey stone building.
