Watch as BBC TV presenter Nick Crane takes a trip above Ludlow in a Gyrocopter. He travels over the Long Mynd and sees rivers, roads and railways, all leading towards Ludlow.
This clip is from the programme Town, being shown at 9pm today on BBC2.
Geographer and adventurer Crane reveals that Ludlow has more listed buildings than anywhere else its size in Britain, two Michelin-starred restaurants and a castle which was once the capital of Wales.
However, Crane also questions whether the town really is as perfect as it first appears.
