Driver cut free from Market Drayton crash car

Thursday 28th July 2011, 11:29AM BST.

A man in his 40s had to be freed by firefighters after his car crashed into a tree.

The incident happened in Wellington Road, Peplow, near Market Drayton, last night. Police said the driver was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford for a check-up and released.

Steve Palin, of Hodnet Fire Station, said: “We had to cut the roof of the car at the request of the ambulance service.”
