Two arrested over Shrewsbury phone box theft

Two men have been arrested in Shrewsbury in connection with a series of thefts from phone boxes.
The men, aged 34 and 22, from the Manchester area, were arrested last night on suspicion of stealing cash boxes from phone kiosks at the station, in Lancaster Road and in Ditherington.
The 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled drug. They were being held at Shrewsbury police station. Anyone with information on the thefts can call 0300 333 3000.
