Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with car

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after he crashed through a fence and into a hedge after a collision with a car in Shropshire.
Ambulance officials said the biker was lucky to be alive after the accident on the A4169 at The Hem at about 4pm yesterday.
It involved the Suzuki motorbike and a Daewoo Kalos driven by a woman from Newport.
The 34-year-old biker from Telford suffered lower leg injuries and was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
