These seven puppies have lost their mum and a Shropshire couple today made a desperate plea for help in getting her back. Jack Russell cross Peggy went missing from her home in Redhill, Telford, on Sunday afternoon.
Owners Drew Corbett and Verity LeGrove have been searching frantically for her ever since.
Eighteen-month old Peggy gave birth to seven puppies at the end of June and Miss LeGrove, 28, is having to feed them powdered milk through a syringe. She said they were keeping each other warm and battling through.
“We are absolutely devastated,” she said. “We don’t have children so our four horses and three dogs mean the absolute world to us.
“We live on a farm so we usually give our dogs Titch, Scampi and Peggy free run on a Sunday afternoon while we tend to the horses. But when we called them only Titch and Scampi came back.
“We searched for Peggy up until about midnight on Sunday and we have been out at 5am every day since looking for her before work.
“We feel like we have let her down and her puppies desperately need her.
“I have got a friend who is a vet so I have been getting advice from her. We are feeding the dogs powdered milk through a syringe at the moment and gradually weaning them on to milk from a bowl.
“They are coping and I think the fact there is so many of them has helped because they are keeping each other warm and battling along. But it kills me to think we might never see Peggy’s face again, she is such a lovely little dog.”
Miss LeGrove, a teacher, said she had placed an advert with website DogLost and had contacted rehoming centres and the police. Anyone who knows of Peggy’s whereabouts can call 07736 150077.

You may have checked but are the any known badgers / rabbit holes you know near to you that the dog may go down and got stuck, or hate to say it, but a friend of mine recently lost her young dog, which was apperently shot by a farming thinking it was going to kill his lambs ( which would make them big lambs), and buried it, not telling anyone, but was caught out by a neighbouring farmer who knew the owner of dog.Not sating its happened to yours, but worth checking with the local farmers
