A public exhibition on proposals to build a £150 million shopping complex in the heart of Shrewsbury is to be extended for a further fortnight after its initial three-day run came to an end on Saturday.

Proposals to redevelop the Pride Hill, Riverside and Darwin shopping centres were on show between Thursday and Saturday last week, with more than 1,500 people taking a look.

The exhibition is set to continue on the first floor of Shirehall for the next two weeks.

why do we not make full use of the river, with some cafe’s and bar’s where we can sit and view the river, while enjoying having drinks and snacks it would pull in a lot of visitors, the banks would be landscaped better and this would be a lovely town to stay as well as on route to wales etc,Smithfield road would have to be moved back or even make it pedestrianized, with a view to another route in and out of the town centre.we would go to town on plants and trees and be as enviable as Venice and Paris. How about those lovely Spanish exterior tiles instead of concrete slabs.
