Pigeon imprint left on Telford window after flying accident
Tuesday 12th July 2011, 4:22PM BST.
Telford woman Patrina Farmer was stunned to see this near perfect imprint of a pigeon left on her window after an unfortunate accident.
Mrs Farmer, from Hadley, sent in the pictures after Sally Arnold, from Cumbria, hit the headlines with shots of an owl imprint left on her window.
The bizarre outline shows the bird’s wide wingspan, tail and even its eye.
Experts have said the outline of the bird was left by a powder substance which grows to protect feathers.
Mrs Farmer said: “I was sitting in my dining room and heard a very loud bang and I looked in the kitchen thinking something had fallen.
“I saw nothing so I carried on with my day but later I went upstairs and I couldn’t believe it.
“I saw a perfect imprint of a bird (pigeon) on the bedroom window and I realised that was the bang I had heard earlier.”
It comes after the pictures from Cumbrian homeowner Mrs Arnold hit the headlines.
The owl had crashed into the window of her Kendal home.
Mrs Arnold said she could find no sign of the owl and assumed it had flown off without any serious injuries.
She said: “Fortunately, there was no sign of the bird and we can only assume that it had flown away probably suffering from a headache.”

Exactly the same thing happened to my boyfriend when a pigeon flew into his conservatory. Didn’t in any way think the Star would be interested in something so commonplace and trivial… Oh dear!

I have a photo of a deceased pigeon wedged into the bonnet of my car. I’d be happy to send it in.
