Newtown man in court on murder charge

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Mid Wales teenager.
Blaine Daniel Kirkham, 20, from Newtown, spoke only to confirm his name and address at Caernarfon Crown Court yesterday.
Lewis Clarke, 18, also from Newtown, died at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on Saturday.
Kirkham was remanded in custody until September 16.
