Shawbury pub shed scoops bronze medal
Thursday 7th July 2011, 11:13AM BST.
A Shropshire shed which has been converted into a pub has scored a podium finish in a national contest to find Britain’s “shed of the year”.
The Three Lions was the brainchild of Jamie Pearce, from Shawbury, who spent £3,000 transforming his humble garden shed into a home-made boozer.
Now judges have awarded it a bronze medal in the “pub-shed” category of the National Shed Week competition, which was voted for by the public.
Mr Pearce said he was chuffed with his success and vowed to enter again next year, by which time he hopes to improved the bar further still.
