Man stabbed in Oswestry
Friday 1st July 2011, 4:40PM BST.
A man was stabbed in the back in a street attack in Oswestry this afternoon.
The man, believed to be aged 40, was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said he was attacked at, or near, a telephone kiosk in Liverpool Road near the town centre at around 2.15pm.
Four men are thought to have been responsible.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We believe up to four men, who may be Asian, were involved in the incident. It’s possible they had had a car nearby and again we are seeking information on sightings.
