Boy airlifted after falling from climbing frame

A 10-year-old boy was airlifted to Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital after falling from a climbing frame in north Shropshire.

The incident happened at a park beside the A495 in Ellesmere at about 1.15pm yesterday.

Claire Thomas, West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman, said: “The boy sustained a fractured wrist and elbow and was in considerable pain.”
